Written by Ilona Lepkowska, who has created some of the biggest Polish film and TV comedy hits of recent years, the movie tells of the parallel romantic adventures of a mother and daughter.

We at the polishfilmclub.com have been counting the days until the release of upcoming Polish horror film Pora Mroku since hearing about it a few months ago. Our curiosity rises further after seeing this amazing trailer. The film goes on release in Poland next Friday and who knows, it may be creeping up on an Irish cinema very soon......

Stefek, 6, throws down the gauntlet for Providence to take it up. The boy believes that a chain of small events he makes happen will let him get closer to his father, who has dumped his mother for another woman. Stefek's sister Elka, 18, teaches him how to bribe fate with small offerings. At a decisive moment, however, the children have nothing precious to sacrifice. This is a story about one day in the life of a court executive officer (collector) from the Polish provincial town of Wałbrzych. Lucek is a young ambitious thirty-something.

Childhood friends meet accidentally after many years.

Fledgling freelance photographer Marcin Wilczynski (Marcin Kwasny), after a stormy breakup with his girlfriend has to leave her luxurious apartment. He moves to a dilapidated, old building in ill-famed Praga – notorious for being the most dangerous district of Warsaw. His new landlord (Krzysztof Janczar) hires him to prepare photographic documentation of the deplorable state of the house. While taking pictures of the neighbourhood, Marcin unexpectedly discovers alien and at the same time fascinating world of the old Warsaw, not mentioned in official guidebooks. The world where specific rules and code of honour has been preserved...
